How to make cleaning fun: Attempt a Guinness World Records title!

Sweeping a town clean would take a long time for one person, but chores are a breeze with 5,159 helpers!

Primary and secondary school children in Oslo, the capital of Norway, recently came together to achieve a Guinness World Records title for the Most people sweeping the floor (single venue).

Some adults, including the Mayor of Oslo, Marianne Borgen, also got involved and picked up a broom for the record attempt.

The challenge was organised because the local council wants to make Oslo an environmentally friendly city.

This record shows what a community can achieve when everyone works together.

Before this, the record stood at 5,058 people, which was achieved in India in 2017.
