Naemi and Alena Stump are twin sisters from Switzerland with a common passion that has taken over their lives: synchronized inline skating! 🛼
The 14-year-olds fell in love with the sport when they were just 8 years old and were looking for a hobby to start together…
Today, skating is way more than just a hobby for them, since they set 2 WORLD RECORDS together on a 3.9-metre (12-ft 9-in) vert ramp:

Aren’t they incredible?! 🤯
Naemi and Alena even made it into the Guinness World Records 2025 book, which is out now!
We were so impressed that we had to meet them and get to know them better.
For example, what is the secret to their success?
Here is what they told us:
“You should know each other so well that you know what the other person is doing without having to communicate. The one who is better at the trick adapts to the other.”
Have you ever tried skating?
The Stump sisters are so talented that they make it seem effortless, but synchronized inline skating is NO piece of cake… 🍰
“We practise a lot to do the tricks at the same speed and the same height.”
In fact, Alena suffers from memory problems, which makes the process even harder.
“[Alena] kept forgetting the order of the tricks,” explained Naemi. “So, we practised the line together for several weeks so that she could memorize the movements.”
Well, sometimes, the harder something is to achieve, the prouder it makes you feel when you finally succeed! ❤️
Of course, the day of their official record attempts was nerve racking for the girls:
“We were very nervous because we were afraid that we wouldn’t make it. At the same time, we were overjoyed that we’d been given the opportunity to set a world record!”
However, having people cheering for them the entire time made them feel strong and confident.
“Thanks to our great friends we had lots of support,” they told us expressing their gratitude.
Having friends who encourage you and are happy for you makes everything more fun and helps you feel strong, no matter what! 💪
Make sure you always support your friends the way you’d want them to support you.
At the end of a successful day of record breaking, the twins decided to cook dinner for everyone who helped them reach their goal.
“That way we could thank them and celebrate together,” they told us.
And when we asked them how they felt about their achievements, they told us:
“It still feels very unreal to have 2 records. We are very happy about it.”
After all, breaking 2 world records and being featured in the book?
These are some LEGENDARY accomplishments! 🤩
Is breaking a world record in your bucket list?
Naemi and Alena are very athletic, so they’re into many different sports, such as:
When it comes to ice hockey, the twins are seasoned pros: at just 5 years of age, they joined a local ice-hockey club and went on to play in national and international tournaments! 🏒
What is the very first sport you ever tried? And what is your favourite sport now?
After sharing their story, the sisters wanted to send a message out to all of you young people with big dreams:
“Dare to do something that you think is impossible. Never give up and always try to better yourself.”
Thanks for the advice, girls. 😎
Congratulations, you are Officially Amazing!
