Kaden Galatiuk from Texas, USA, flew all the way to Italy to break a world record in front of a large audience, playing the sport he loves, hockey! 🏒

On the set of our Italian TV show Lo Show Dei Record, he achieved the most hockey pucks hit into a target on inline skates in one minute with 38 pucks.

Have you ever played hockey?

Keep reading – Kaden will teach us how to saucer pass like a pro! 🤩

But first, let’s see him in action…

Kaden is 12 years old, but he started skating when he was only 2!

“Then I started playing hockey when I was about 3 and a half, 4,” he told us.

He was inspired by his dad, who used to be a goalie and taught him everything he knows.

🤔 So what does a day in Kaden’s life look like?

“The average day is probably 6 hours of training,” he explained.

“I wake up at 5, then I have a skating session at 6 a.m. […], then I do school and then I have an off ice training session with one of my personal trainers.

“And then I go on the ice for another power skating session. Then I go home, have a little rest, and then I go and shoot 1,000 pucks every day.”

1,000 pucks is truly mind-blowing, isn’t it?! 🤯

Hockey is a team sport and, according to Kaden, the team’s morale is really important:

“If you get in a fight with your teammate then you may be mad at each other in the next game. Things won’t go well and you’ve just got to be together.”

Being part of a team not only makes playing sports more fun, but it also teaches us valuable lessons about supporting each other and working together in all aspects of life! ❤️

Do you prefer playing in a team or by yourself?

Kaden is an amazing hockey player because he loves the game so much:

“It’s my passion. It’s my drive. I love it.”

If you haven’t already, follow Kaden’s example and try to find a hobby that you truly love – then you’ll have something that will bring you joy every day.

🔎 But what is a saucer pass in hockey?

Basically, instead of sliding the puck along the ice, you make it fly through the air a little bit, so it's harder for the other team to catch. It's a cool way to pass the puck to your teammate!

And now, here are Kaden’s 3 simple steps to learning how to saucer pass like a pro:

  1. Start on the heel of the hockey stick, gently touching the puck with it
  2. Lift the toe of the stick slightly
  3. Roll the puck and aim for your teammate

Remember, practice makes perfect!

Congratulations, Kaden, we can’t wait to see you become a famous pro hockey player. 😎

Until then, enjoy your world record title – you are Officially Amazing!
