Even with a blindfold blocking her vision, it only took Kong Shuqi from China 5.648 seconds to gain GWR glory. 🧩

To finish a 4 x 5 Klotski puzzle, you have to slide rectangular and square blocks around a framed board to make a certain pattern. 

Fun fact: Kong was only 12 years old when she broke this record in Xiamen, China! 🤯

It just goes to show that anything is possible when you put your mind to it!

Jakob Schöley from Germany accomplished this feat in 2 minutes 6.59 seconds in Schweinfurt, Germany.

The 24-year-old beat the previous record by over 60 seconds – how cool is that? 😮

Chen Nuo from China first achieved this feat in January 2021, setting the mark at 41.39 seconds.

Determined to keep progressing and remain the holder of this GWR title, she has just broken this record for a 4th time, with a time of 31.13 seconds in Xiamen, China. 👏

The 6 level Tower of Hanoi puzzle requires you to move rings of different sizes and colours between 3 poles without ever placing the bigger rings on top of the smaller ones.

He solved a puzzle cube in just 28.250 seconds whilst falling through the sky at approximately 200 km/h over Jurien Bay in Western Australia. 🛩️

The 17-year-old qualified sky diver attempted this record to “push the boundaries of competitive puzzle solving”.

This makes him the fastest person in the ENTIRE WORLD to have ever done this! 🌎

As of 3 July 2024, Max holds 12 GWR titles, including: 

  • Most wins of the WCA World Championship (2, shared with Feliks Zemdegs)
  • Fastest time to solve a 5x5x5 rotating puzzle cube (32.52 seconds)
  • Fastest time to solve a 7x7x7 rotating puzzle cube (1 minute 35.68 seconds) 

Did you know Max won his second cubing competition when he was only 10 years old? He beat 2 college graduates in the final! 🏆
