Officially Amazing glitter challenge

The next episode of Officially Amazing will be showing on CBBC at 17:45 on Friday, featuring quad bikes, gymnastics, LEGO and monster trucks.

However, the most sparkly part of this weeks’ show is The Bunker Games, where Mr Cherry, US Ray and Sizzlin’ Steve go up against each other in competition for the Most glitter moved with a teaspoon in one minute title – a challenge that requires "showbiz glamour, technique and speed," according to presenter Ben Shires.

Cherry won the first Officially Competitive point for his pasta necklace making skills last week, so the heat is on for Ray and Steve to up their game.

The record-breakers decide to use red glitter for the challenge, because the colour is in the British, American and Japanese flags.

However, Ray reckons blue would be the fastest colour and Mr Cherry says it’s all about the type of spoon you use. The Sizzler hates glitter – but has enough competitive spirit to make up for it.

If you fancy giving this record attempt a go at home, the rules state that you must move the glitter from a bowl to a tube, with at least 30 cm between them, and you can only use one hand.

You’ll need to move a minimum on 250g to secure the sparkly record!

If you’re in the UK, tune in to CBBC on Friday 20 April at 17:45 BST to find out if anyone can break the record.

To celebrate the new series of Officially Amazing Goes Bunkers, we’re giving you the chance to win a copy of Guinness World Records 2018, signed by the show’s stars – Mr Cherry, Sizzlin’ Steve, US Ray, Ben Shires, Haruka Kuroda and Desiree Burch (UK only).
