Video: Amazing Great Ball Contraption sets record at LEGO event BRICK

Maico Arts and Ben Jonkman (both from the Netherlands) returned to LEGO® fan show BRICK for the second year running to attempt to build their most incredible Great Ball Contraption yet.

Made up of a whopping 100 individual modules, each built from LEGO® Technics, the gob-smacking piece of engineering was confirmed as the Largest Great Ball Contraption ever, edging past the record Maico Arts achieved at last year's expo by 12 modules.

A Great Ball contraption is a machine which passes a ball from one place to another through a series of mechanical steps.
Following hours of hard work from the builders, the awesome machine was tested at the BRICK event in London, UK, in front of a stunned audience.
The total travel time for one ball to complete the full circuit was 16.49 minutes.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Sofia Greenacre was on hand to present the new record holders with an official certificate.
