Pupils of GEMS Education set an amazing new record in Dubai in honour of the UAE 44th national day, celebrated on 2 December to remember the union of the country's seven emirates in 1971.
A total of 6,958 participants from 35 different schools formed the words “HAPPY NATIONAL DAY” and broke the record for the Largest human sentence.
Each student wore a white t-shirt and cap to make sure the final image was one block of colour.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Samer Khallouf counted the number of participants and then presented the group with a certificate celebrating their incredible success.
Student Mohammed Abdullah Ahmad spoke to a local newspaper: “It was a wonderful experience being part of breaking a world record. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and I got it.”
GEMS Education latest success comes after they set a new world record during last year’s celebrations, when a huge group of children became the Most nationalities singing a national/regional anthem simultaneously, with 119.
