The endlessly popular record for the Longest usable golf club just gets longer and longer each year.
Guinness World Records recently met up with record breaker Michael Furrh (USA) in his hometown of Texas, USA to find out more about his recent 6.87 m (22 ft 6.75 in) creation.
The golf club he made is longer than a giraffe is tall – well they do say everything is bigger in Texas!
With this super-stretched club Michael actually beat his own record.
The record-breaker managed to hit a normal golf ball 79.5 m (87 yards) with his driver when demonstrating his creation at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington, Texas.
Michael is a golf and teaching professional and he regularly uses his super-long clubs in golf shows to raise money for charity.
Since filming with Michael earlier this year, multiple record-breaking Ashrita Furman has beaten his record. On 9 April he demonstrated his whopping 7.65 m (25.09 feet) golf club in Jamaica, New York, USA and became champion.
Nevertheless, determined Michael told Guinness World Records: "You'll just have to stay tuned and find out what's up my sleeve for next year."
Watch this space to see if he tees up a new attempt.
