Maru – aka "Mugumogu" – has the Guinness World Records title for Most views for an animal on YouTube.

You might have seen clips of him jumping into tiny cardboard boxes or playing on his living room swing.

As of 22 September 2016, the nine-year-old Scottish fold cat had been watched an incredible total of 325,704,506 times!

Maru (which means "Round" in Japanese) now has over half a million subscribers, but "despite his fame, remains as aloof and as chilled out as ever," says his owner.

When asked their opinion on why Maru has become so successful, his owner said it was probably down to his cuteness - and we can't argue there!
