…
38! 🤯
The Canadian animal lover holds the record for most dogs walked simultaneously by an individual which, let’s be honest, sounds like the most FUN record ever!
See him in action. 👇
All the dogs who took part in the record-breaking walk had been rescued around the area and were put up for adoption by the Korean K9 Rescue (KK9R) shelter.
Mitchell, one of the main helpers on this project, was super excited because he got to play with a whole bunch of furry friends! 🐶
He said: “All of these dogs […] are great animals, they deserve a good home, they just need a little bit of love.”
We couldn’t agree more, Mitchell. 🥹
Gina Kim-Sadiku, who works at KK9R, added: “We did not have a lot of time [to train for this event] but since our dogs had a strong foundation, we were able to really accomplish a lot in a short amount of time.”
Such good dogs! ❤️
So what inspired Mitchell to do this?
Well, he told us that he wanted to get as many dogs as possible adopted in a short amount of time, and this record was going to make people aware of all these dogs needing a home.
Do you have a dog? Would you ever adopt one?
“We wanted to do something that made these dogs be the champions that they are,” he told us.“These are good dogs, they deserve homes.”
Mission accomplished – these dogs are true champions! 🏆
To break the record, Mitchell had to walk the dogs for 1 km (0.6 mi) – that’s about as long as lining up 45 blue whales head to tail. 🐋 🐋 🐋
Also, the dogs had to remain on their leads throughout the attempt.
Congratulations to Mitchell and everyone involved…
But, most importantly, congratulations to all the good boys and girls who participated in this record-breaking walk! 🐕
