In what looks like the world’s coolest slime party, 80 kids and adults lined up to break a world record while having the time of their lives!

The fun and messy record attempt was set in Glasgow, UK, by BBC’s game show Saturday Mash-Up

In case you haven’t seen it before, this is a super fun show with interactive games and challenges, music, comedy skits, and of course… slime! 🤪

Every episode is different, but this time, it was all about breaking the world record for the most people gunged/slimed in relay in 3 minutes.

And they did it, with 73 people successfully slimed on the head!

So what does it mean to be… successfully slimed?

Well, for this attempt, each person had to tip their bucket over the person next to them.

And, for the sliming to be deemed successful, the gunge had to land on their head and spill onto their bodies

We told you it got messy! 🤣

Everything was super official, with Joanne, our Official Adjudicator,  overseeing the record attempt.

Upon success, it was only right that Joanne received some slime too… 👀

In the picture below you can see her (before slime) posing next to Viper from the Gladiators, who also made an appearance!

They absolutely smashed the record, as the number to beat was 60 and they finished their attempt with 30 seconds to spare. ⏰

At the end, everyone was very excited to have broken an official world record, and all there was left to do was… party!

Congratulations to all the participants, you are Officially Amazing!🥳

Step 1 – make your own slime!

You can find easy recipes online – one of our favourites is the eco-friendly version by Alex and chemistry teacher Kristy Turneron on CBBC.

Step 2 – practice makes perfect!

Creating your own slime is a blast, and playing with it is even more fun – but can you achieve a world record with it?

Good luck. 😎
