This 11-year-old just broke a TRAMPOLINING record on TV!
Do you enjoy jumping around on trampolines? 😁
At just 11 years of age, Liu Zeen from China bounced his way into the record books by achieving the most trampolining baranis in 1 minute (88).
A barani is a trick that involves doing a front somersault and a half twist before landing. 🤸
Can you do this?

Liu broke the record on the popular Chinese TV show, Cross-times Competition, where ordinary people can showcase their extraordinary talents. 📺
See him in action. 👇
But how did Liu get into trampolining? 🤔
He took up the sport when he was 8 and a half years old.
Liu told us: “I met a lot of kids at the trampoline gym and had a lot of fun.” 😄
And just 3 years later, his most loved hobby landed him a place in the Guinness World Records spotlight!
“I felt very happy after I broke my record.”

He beat the previous mark of 85, set by Federico Tonelli on our Italian TV series Lo Show dei Record.
Could you break a world record on TV?
So, what does Liu love so much about trampolining?
“My favourite trampoline trick is a barani, because it [allowed me to get a Guinness World Records title]. ❤️
“I feel like [I’m] flying when I jump.”
Imagine how cool it would be if humans could fly! 🐦
Want to know something surprising? Liu has never taken trampoline classes.
He is a self-taught superstar! ⭐
“I usually train 5 times a week. I just watch adults' movements and imitate them.”
What could you teach yourself?
If you want to improve your trampolining skills, here are Liu’s top 3 tips:
- Go running 🏃♀️
- Practise yoga 🧘
- Learn to do front and back flips as soon as possible 🤸
And to help you learn how to perform a front flip, Liu recommends following these steps:

- Then move on to a fish flip 🐟
- Now try to attempt a front flip 🤸

Based on Liu’s love for fitness, it’ll come as no surprise to you that he wants to be a Physical Education teacher when he’s older. ⚽
“My favourite subject at school is Physical Education [and] my other hobbies are running and playing with [my friends].”
What would you like to be when you grow up? 💭
