Chanel Tapper loves making people laugh when they see her super-long tongue!

Although she tells us they sometimes “scream in horror”. 😱

How would you react if you saw the world’s longest tongue (female) in real life?

Her tongue measures an incredible 9.75 cm (3.8 inches) from the tip to her lips.

Even cooler? She’s held this record since 2010!

So probably for longer than you’ve been alive. 🤪

Chanel, from California, USA, told us:

“Honestly, the best reaction I could ever get when someone sees my tongue is screaming. I actually do like when people yell or scream in shock, or horror sometimes.

“But that’s probably my favourite one because it’s funny to me because it’s a dramatic response.”

Chanel is now 34 years old and, in her over 10 years as record holder, she’s learned quite a few fun tricks… 😝

She showed us some of them, such as:

• Touching her nose with her tongue
• Removing Jenga blocks
• Flipping Red Solo Cups
• Even holding up a spoon by curling her tongue around it!

She commented:

“I like little fun, silly things like that. That’s what makes my tongue the most fun when I can do things that are outside the box with it.

“My favourite thing about being a record holder has to be when I get to travel and meet other record holders as well.

“It’s fun, and of course I get to see the parts of the world I’ve never seen before.”

Last year, Chanel got to be part of an amazing advertising campaign for the fashion brand Diesel along with other record holders.  

For the photos, her record-breaking tongue was painted blue and green, creating some amazing pictures for Diesel’s Welcome to Successful Living campaign.
