Micah solved 172 Rubik’s cubes… on stilts! See him in action

Micah Kingham is a 13-year-old boy from the UK with a dream: to make it into the Guinness World Records book! 

He’s now surely on his way, since he broke the record for the most rotating puzzle cubes solved on stilts in 1 hour…

Yes, you read that correctly!

With the help of his family and a charity named The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Micah was able to combine his 2 biggest talents and passions – Rubik’s cubes and stilts – into a world record. 💪

Can you think of 2 things you’re quite good at? How would you combine them to achieve something great?

Micah’s love of puzzle cube solving helped him a lot when he was sick, and needed something to distract him throughout his treatment.

But he started solving them when he was just 7 years old, while off school with an ear infection. 

Have you ever tried to solve a Rubik’s cube? They’re REALLY hard! 😫

He was inspired by another record-breaker Josiah Plett after seeing her breaking the record for the most rotating puzzle cubes solved while hula hooping.

Wow!

So, wanting to break a record of his own, he took his official attempt seriously, practising for hours and hours...

If you want your dreams to come true, you’ve got to give it your best and never give up! ✨

In the process, he increased his speed solving time with an average of just 20 seconds per cube. 😳

So, when the time of the official attempt came, his family and friends were all there to cheer him on.

After a final practice on stilts, it was time for his official attempt… 😬

After a super anxious hour, he successfully broke the record with 172 solves.

What a champion!

“It can bring happiness in what is sometimes not an enjoyable time, something to look forward to and brighten up life!”

The next day, Micah proudly wore his Guinness World Records medal to school. 😎
