Could you eat any of the world’s LARGEST and HEAVIEST fruits?

Do you like fruit? 🍓🥝🍍
Did you know sometimes they can grow as BIG as a motorcycle and as HEAVY as a washing machine?!
Sounds crazy but it’s true.
Let’s have a look at some record-breakingly gigantic fruits…
Heaviest cantaloupe melon
Llorenç Soler Adrover, a teenager from Spain, grew the world’s heaviest cantaloupe melon which is heavier than a washing machine – or an 8-year-old boy!
It weighs in at a whopping 31.446 kg (69 lb 5.28 oz).
So who’s heavier – you or the melon? 👀
Heaviest eggplant/aubergine
An uber-sized aubergine from Iowa, USA, tipping the scales at 3.778 kg (8 lb 5.3 oz), was crowned the world’s heaviest eggplant!
That’s more than 10 times the size of a typical eggplant that you’d find at the grocery store. 🤯
Isn’t that egg-straordinary?!
And in case you’re wondering… Yes, eggplants are technically a fruit, as they contain seeds and grow from a flowering plant! 🤓
Heaviest mango
Now that is one DELICIOUS record! 🤤
Heavier than most newborn babies, this smooth mango was grown in Guyatá, Colombia, by farming duo Germán Orlando Novoa Barrera and Reina Maria Marroquín. 👶
It weighs 4.25 kg (9.36 lb) and it’s larger than your head – could you eat the whole thing?!
According to Germán, "The land that is cultivated with love produces great fruits”.
And that’s true of many things in life: when you care for something with love – such as your dreams, your friendships, or your talents – it can grow into something amazing! ✨
Heaviest pumpkin
This is not a pumpkin, but a pumpKING! 👑
The enormous fruit from California, USA, weighs 2,749 lb (1,246.9 kg) – that’s about 180 times the size of the typical pumpkin.
Oh, and it’s about enough pumpkin to make more than 1,600 pies!
How many could you eat? 😋
Heaviest watermelon
Always a summer favourite, watermelons are generally big fruits…
But have you ever seen one THIS big?!
You probably haven’t, since this is the heaviest watermelon in the entire world!
At 159 kg (350.5 lb), this watermelon is Officially Amazing. 🥳
