Rusty the horse broke a world record with his clever tricks

Do you like horses? 🐎

Rusty is not only adorable, but also super smart as he can do amazing tricks with his owner, Megan Reimann (USA)!

Megan rescued Rusty when he was young, even though he was really hard to handle at first – he had a habit of running people over, as well as biting. 😬

“Nobody wanted him,” Megan said.

But she believed in him, and look where it got them… 

They just broke a record together!

Rusty is such a good boy now. 😌

He has claimed the record for most tricks performed by a horse in 3 minutes with an impressive total of 33 – wow!

Megan told us:

“When Rusty came to live with me we used tricks to teach him how to behave politely, and safely. Now Rusty is an accomplished trick horse who would love to show the world what a once thrown-away horse is capable of!”

Rusty can do all the coolest tricks, from classics like spin, stay and fist bump to more complex ones like playing piano, painting, and waving a flag. 🎹 🎨

And when you ask him if he enjoys performing tricks, he always gives an enthusiastic nod!

Megan commented:

“He had a lot of fun during our attempts. There were lots of people here to look at him and give him the attention he deserves.

“Rusty thinks he’s a puppy dog, or a slightly large hairy human and loves having people around looking at him and paying attention to him.”

So what does Rusty do every day?

Well, when he’s not putting on shows, Rusty spends his days running through the cornfields and helping his mom with chores around the house, like taking in the washing.

“I thought he did a very good job at it, I was very proud of him,” Megan said.

“He was proud of him too.”

Rusty actually did 34 tricks in the 3 minutes, but because he stepped off the teeter totter before he was all the way across it, that one had to be disqualified.

Lesson learned: always follow the rules. 😎

He didn’t mind though, and he was so happy with his new record that he gave Megan a BIG sloppy kiss, so powerful it knocked her sunglasses off. 😂
