"Amazing Kid Eche", aka Eche Chinonso, is a 12-year-old football freestyle superstar from Nigeria. ⚽️
In November he broke the Guinness World Records title for the most consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head with an impressive 111 touches.
This was recognised by FIFA and is included in the new Guinness World Records book. 📖
Eche’s father noticed that he had a talent when he was only five years old and began taking him to the field to practice regularly.
At the age of eight, Eche began putting in more time to develop and perfect his freestyling skills after watching videos of world-famous footballers.
Eche’s favourite trick still involves juggling a ball while balancing another one on his head. However, he plans to break a few more Guinness World Records titles in future so watch this space!
To be a record breaker, Eche practices every single morning before school, when he often completes over 2000 touches! After school, Eche heads to the field to play football with his classmates.
Eche wanted to break the record to prove to other young Nigerians that anything is possible through self-belief and dedication.
When he found out that he had made it into the famous Guinness World Records book he said that he was the “happiest person in the world” and he hopes it will make his family and other Nigerian’s proud. “It has inspired me to do more and never give up”.
Eche’s latest Guinness World Records title will feature alongside thousands of others in Guinness World Records 2021 which is out now.
