Special skill: Snooker

Hi! I’m Jude, and I love playing snooker – it’s like pool, but harder. I broke 2 world records and, even if I need to climb on the snooker table to make some shots, I’d still win a match against my dad!

How it all started...

I started playing miniature snooker when I was 2, and after a year I moved to full-sized tables, the “big snooks”. I learn fast!

My dad taught me after he bought me the mini table to play on, and we’ve been having the best time playing together. He also loves snooker and pool, and he started playing when he was 10.

He says in a few years I’ll be better than him!

If you don’t know, pool and snooker are games where you use a long stick to hit a white ball and knock other balls into holes on a table. Pool is smaller and easier to play, while snooker has more balls, a bigger table, and is trickier.

Do you share any hobbies with your mum and dad?

Now I have 2 world record titles:

  • Youngest person to make a snooker double pot at the age of 2 years and 261 days
  • Youngest person to make a pool bank shot at the age of 2 years and 302 days

A double pot is when 2 balls land in different pockets after a single strike of the white ball, and a bank shot is when you hit a coloured ball off one of the table’s cushions before it enters a pocket.

Being a record breaker

It feels amazing!

People started noticing how good I am at it. I’ve already met some of my idols and professional pool players, like Jimmy White, and the coolest part?

They’ve all congratulated me and said they admired my skills!

And when I went to the 2025 UK Championship in York, I had my very own walkout into the arena!

I felt like a true star.

I’d say Jude’s got a lot more natural ability than myself. He doesn’t beat me at the moment, but I’d like to think that he would in the next few years easily.

Fun facts about me

When I’m not playing snooker, I like watching Octonauts, supporting Manchester United and having fun with my family!

One day, I hope to become the snooker world champion – and to break more records, of course.
