Alina broke a record by collecting fabulous hairpins!

Alina Gupta, a 9-year-old girl from India, holds the record for the largest collection of hairpins / hair clips which is… 1,124. 🤯

You might be wondering – how did she do it?!

Here’s what she told us:

“Slowly and steadily it became my passion to collect hair pins, so, I started collecting them more aggressively.”

Alina started collecting at the age of 4, “out of excitement”, as she explained. 

So, she’s been doing it for 5 years!

That’s an average of 225 hair clips per year. 🤩

As you can see, her collection is a colourful, fabulous one.

“It varies in terms of one or the other parameters like colours, designs, artwork, shapes, pattern etc. making it a unique one on this globe,” Alina detailed proudly.

“I collect different and unique hair clips for my personal achievement.”

And indeed, as well as a fun hobby, owning a record-breaking collection is also a truly remarkable achievement!

According to Alina, absolutely: “Seeing them in my wardrobe it feels like one of my dreams has come true.”

In fact, getting the world record title doesn’t mean that her collection is anywhere near complete: “I will definitely continue to collect more and more unique clips in the future!”

Now that’s what we call dedication. 💪🏽
