You may have heard of 17-year-old Greta Thunberg. The teen, from Sweden, is known globally for opposing climate change. 🌍♻️

After a busy year meeting with governments, lending her support to demonstrations she's just set a record, having become the youngest “Time Person of the Year”

This is a title awarded by Time Magazine. Every year they pick a person, object or group who's "for better or for worse... done the most to influence the events of the year".

Thunberg is the cover star on the 23 Dec/30 Dec magazine, at which point she will be aged 16 years 354 days.

The "Person of the Year" was started in 1927, so has been around for a long time!

Greta has inspired others around the world to strike from school which came to be known as "FridaysForFuture".

In 2019, Thunberg has met with numerous government officials as well as giving speeches at major events such as the UN Climate Action Summit held in New York City, USA.
