Cat and dog ride scooter together breaking world record

The friendship between Sashimi the cat and Lollipop the dog is very special. 🐱🐶

They play together, train together and, most surprisingly, scoot around together! 🛴

On September 2020, the unlikely pair broke the record for fastest 5m on a scooter by a dog and cat (pair) with a time of 4.37 seconds.

Now, the two are stars of the Guinness World Records 2022 book. 📚

The two live in Ontario, Canada, with their trainer Melissa Millet, 8 other dogs and 3 other cats. In the house Lollipop and Sashimi are free to run around and make new friends, but they always shared a very unique bond. 💙

Sashimi likes to spend time with Lollipop and often ignores her fellow cats, while Lollipop won’t share her toys with anybody but Sashimi! 😍

Over time, the two became… pawrtners in crime. 🐾

Even their adoptive mum, Melissa, couldn’t believe her eyes when they just hopped on a scooter together and rode off! 👀

"One day during practice, Lollipop was working on her scooter riding when Sashimi ran over to try and steal a turn! Sashimi jumped on the scooter first, then Lollipop jumped on and started pushing her. We were shocked!!! They had made up this trick themselves!!! It is now my absolute favourite trick." - Melissa

Lollipop was born deaf but, despite that, she is a fearless puppy.

Like any other dog, she is always ready to learn and explore the world around her. 🤩

She loves coming up with tricks of her own, and her improv numbers always achieve great success. But she also loves napping on the couch, surrounded by cuddles and a loving family. 🥰

Sashimi, on the other hand, is the diva of the house.✨

Melissa affectionately describes her as an active kitten who loves working, learning new tricks and mental stimulation.

If you’re lucky, you might catch her playing the piano, pushing a shopping cart or of course, riding a scooter. She's multi-talented! 🛴

The two, who do everything together just like proper best friends, also appear on the front cover of the latest edition of the Guinness World Recordsbook!

If you look closely, you might see them happily scooting around the cover, illustrated by Rod Hunt.

Can you spot them? (A little help: look near the hot air balloon!) 🎈

But Lollipop and Sashimi aren’t the only record-breaking, talented pets in Melissa's family!

Lollipop's adoptive brother Jellybean, a four-year-old dog, is a real champion with a basketball

He broke two world records:

Fastest 5m pushing a basketball by a dog (10.31 seconds) 🐶

Most bounce passes of a basketball between a human and dog in 30 seconds (21) 🏀

Pretty cool, right? 😎

But that's not all: Jellybean, just like Lollipop, was born deaf.

The success of these two larger-than-life puppies proves what any dog can accomplish if surrounded by affection and support, no matter the difficulties.

All Jellybean and Lollipop needed was someone to give them love, extra belly rubs and a lot of play time. 💛

According to Melissa, Sashimi and Lollipop might try to break a new record in the future:

Lollipop and Sashimi are a special duo. They have many tricks!

We certainly can't wait to see what they come up with next  😎
