⚠️EPIC trampoline record alert!
Julius Bille is a talented trampolinist who, although being only 13 years old, was brave enough to show his skills in front of a large crowd, on the set of our Italian TV show Lo Show dei Record...
So what record did he break?
The teen from Frankfurt, Germany, broke the record for the fastest time to burst 20 balloons with backwards somersaults on a trampoline with the amazing time of 44.37 seconds!
If it sounds a bit complicated, that's because, well... it is. So, have a look at the video below to better understand the challenge. 👇🏽
As the Italian host, Gerry Scotti, commented: “This is a complicated record to attempt, especially for a 13-year-old.”
But as you should know by now, through the countless stories of young record breakers, talent has no age! 😎
For this record, Julius wore plimsolls tipped with drawing pins in order to pop the balloons which, as you saw on the video, were hanging from a rotating pole, by bouncing head over heels on a trampoline. 🤪
Seems super hard, right?
But talented - and experienced - Julius did amazingly well! Even though he occasionally missed a few balloons, he didn't give up.
In the end, he successfully popped most of them without difficulty, causing the audience to... burst into applause (get it?). 👏
Of course, the GWR Official Adjudicators Sofia Greenacre and Lorenzo Veltri were there to make the record official. 🤩
Whilst explaining the rules they informed everyone that the record to beat was 82.66 seconds.
But, since Julius achieved the time of 44.37 seconds, that means that he did it in almost half the time!
And all that on his first official attempt. 🤯
Julius wasn't alone - his dad and coach was there to help and support him every step of the way.
During the attempt, he was in charge of moving the pole at the right speed to help Julius achieve the best possible result.
So, how cool is this record?!
Congratulations Julius, you are Officially Amazing! 🏆
