This record is dino-mite! 🦕

At just 5 years of age, Shriyaan has a talent that most fully-grown adults would find extremely challenging…

He is the record holder of the most dinosaurs identified in one minute

That’s right – Shriyaan identified 40 dinosaur species in just 60 seconds. 🤯

Shriyaan is from India and he lives in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, where he goes to school.

He loves learning new things and is passionate about all animals!

His parents realised that he could remember the names of various dinosaur species – as well as their characteristics, what they ate etc. – when he was just 4 and a half years old.

So, they decided to give him a little challenge. 😉

Training and challenges

Shriyaan had already won three different national awards before going for this record.

When we asked his parents what made this attempt different and harder, they said:

“We used colourful images of the dinosaurs for all the records claimed before. However, the GWR guidelines directed to take the images from the Natural History Museum, Dino Dictionary

The images were black and white and majority of the dinosaur names were new to him. It was a big challenge to start from scratch, without being guaranteed that he would be able to break the record!”

So, what did Shriyaan’s training consist of?

“He would train 3-4 times a week for about 4-6 months. The training phase was really tough because of his lack of concentration, but we somehow pulled it off!”

What can we say? Hard work pays off. ✨

Shriyaan was also promised many toys (we are guessing dinosaur-related ones? 🤪) as a way to motivate him even more to achieve his goal.

As if becoming an Officially Amazing™ title holder was not enough! 🏆

Lastly, Shriyaan confirmed that he’d like to attempt breaking more records in the future.

We wish him the best of luck and we can’t wait to see what his next goal will be!
