Meet Bisbee, the 3-year-old record-breaking pup! 🥳

The English Setter from Tucson, Arizona, USA, has the world's longest tongue on a living dog.

In fact, measuring 9.49 cm (3.74 inches), his tongue is longer than a popsicle stick!

Bisbee's story

Bisbee's family are Jay and Ericka Johnson, who found him through a “charitable auction” and immediately fell in love with him!

After they took him home, it didn’t take long before they realised Bisbee had a very unique feature...

“He just looked really disproportionate. He looked funny when he panted,” Ericka explains.

“I thought [Bisbee's tongue] was relatively normal,” says Jay, “but she took it upon herself to prove me wrong and had his tongue measured!”.📏

Bisbee's personality

But Bisbee is so much more than a record-breaking dog... he is also a very good boy and a great friend.

As Jay told us, he is the most amazing dog he’s ever owned. ❤️

Well, we're happy to say that now he is Officially Amazing!

Here is what we found out about him:

Bisbee loves his daily walks, but unfortunately he sometimes is not able to go because of his hip dysplasia, a condition that sometimes happens while dogs are growing.

Thankfully, during the summer months, he spends lots of time in the pool instead!

When we asked Jay and Ericka how they feel about Bisbee breaking an official world record, they said that they are both proud of their little furry friend, and think it’s a funny title for him to hold. 🤪

Ultimately, they both feel “Lucky to get him, and he was lucky to get us!”

We wish the happy family all the best, and hope that Bisbee will keep playfully licking everyone he loves with his super-long tongue!👅
