Breaking a world record is undoubtedly a remarkable achievement. 🏆

For most record breakers, it is a once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment…

Lim Kai Yi, however, is a LIVING LEGEND in the world of record breaking!

This super talented boy from Butterworth, Malaysia, has achieved over 60 different records, and he’s nowhere near done.

Mind-blowing, right?!

AND he is only 19 years old! 🤯

“I feel really satisfied and happy about my achievements,” Lim told us. “I do hope to go beyond myself and break more record and earn titles.”

One of Lim’s favourite record titles is the fastest time to assemble Mr. Potato Head, which he achieved in just 5.43 seconds. 😮

If you have a Mr. Potato Head at home, give this record a try! Just follow these 3 simple steps:

  1. Lay all parts out
  2. Use both hands
  3. Practise as many times as possible

Who knows, you might discover your hidden talent!

But let’s find out more about talented Lim, like…

How does he break all these records?! 👀

“You’ve got to […] get creative.” Lim told us. “Because you’re not going to want to follow the most mainstream or common method to [break a record].

“There’s something that people would definitely be missing and that’s why the people who teach you those methods are not the world record holders. Because they’re missing something!”

💡 So remember: when you're stuck, try to think outside of the box! There's always a new way to tackle any challenge.

Therefore, according to Lim, the best way to attempt breaking a record is to not copy the current record holder but, instead, find your own solution.

Lim has a VERY ambitious goal – he wants to break 1,000 records in his lifetime! 😱

Here at Guinness World Records, we truly believe that no dream is too big.

Plus, you know what they say…

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

What this means is that, even if you don't reach your biggest dream, aiming high and trying your best will still lead you to great things. So, don't be afraid to dream big!

And, as Lim said, you don’t have to copy others – sometimes, finding your own path will lead you to success. 😎

Congratulations, Lim, you are Officially Amazing!
