Do you speak the space language? 👽
At the age of 2 years and 358 days, talented Lynn Takei released her album Nonsense makes Sense in Yamaguchi, Japan, all sung in this unique, 'alien' language!
Her album was released on multiple global music platforms and her achievement made her the world’s youngest female solo artist to release an album.
Pretty cool, right?!
The young singer, whose artist name is Jalimpa, created an album that is described as "the first album of alternative music from another dimension."
Little Jalimpa loooves singing!
What is your favourite song in the world? 🎶
Go listen to Jalimpa's album today, starting with her favourite song, "Dali Dali don don":
Jalimpa plans on becoming a huge star and it seems like there is nothing stopping her. 😎
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Jalimpa lives in a country house surrounded by the beautiful sea and forest, with the sounds of waves, insects, and birds being her lullabies...
How dreamy. 😌
She started singing melodies when she was just 6 months old, before really understanding the concepts of language or music!
By the age of 1, she would climb on to the tokonoma, a traditional Japanese alcove, acting as if it was her stage, and dance and sing in the mysterious cosmic babble.
Let's admit it - we all love to dance and sing around the house!🕺
So when her mum and dad noticed her talent, they decided to start recording her!
Of course, making a whole album as a nearly 3-year-old is no piece of cake...
Describing some of the difficulties they faced during the recording of the album, her parents said:
“Her best performance often came when she was away from the recording microphone. The microphone had to chase her to capture it.”
Jalimpa likes to sing all day every day - whether she's playing with her toys, running around the garden or relaxing in bed, you'll always hear her humming one of her songs! 😮💨
Seeing her passion for music, her mum and dad are determined to support her in any way they can.
They said: “We have a lot of instruments at home […] and we give her access to any instruments she is interested in like the piano, the horn, the guitar, the Japanese traditional drums, the bells etc.”
Do you play any instruments or would you like to start?
Jalimpa's family is very artistic! When they realized she broke a world record they immediately started screaming and jumping around singing "Dali Dali don don", and her mum, who is a picture book artist, captured the moment with a doodle. 👩🎨
Which is your favourite form of art? 🎨📷🎶💃
Jalimpa’s music – and record breaking – career has just started, and we cannot wait to see where it will take her!
Congratulations, Jalimpa, you are Officially Amazing.
