Coda Asano is an awesome Cocker Spaniel from Japan who loves zooming around on his skateboard, always looking for his next big adventure. 🐶
In February 2024, on the set of our Italian TV series Lo Show dei Record, Coda did something amazing – he broke a world record!
He travelled through a tunnel made of 40 people standing with their legs apart, all while riding his skateboard.
How cool is that?!
He’s clearly got some serious skating skills. 🛹
Do you know how to skate?
A long time before Coda, back in 2015, there was another amazing dog known as Otto the Skateboarding Bulldog, who was the first to set the record for the longest human tunnel travelled through by a dog on a skateboard, by wheeling underneath 30 people!
Way to carry on the tradition of awesomeness, Coda. 😎
So after breaking the record, Otto used his fame to teach people about being kind to pets and to help find homes for animals in need.
What a great cause…
And Coda’s owner, Satomi Asano, shares the same passion!
She runs a special dog school in Japan that focuses on keeping dogs happy and healthy, using positive and science-based training techniques.
Satomi is against punishing dogs and, instead, she teaches them in a kind and gentle way. ❤️
She even introduced Coda to skateboarding as a fun way to play and keep him active!
Do you have a pet? Have you taught them any cool tricks?
Satomi said:
“With praising and teaching, he learned everything – and our relationship has become better over time."
That’s awesome!
But Coda’s road to victory was not without its difficulties…
On his first try, he couldn’t make it through the tunnel.
On his second attempt, he wobbled a little - but he was determined not to keep trying! 💪
In the end, he zoomed through and made history.
Now, Coda has officially earned his place as a world-famous skateboarding dog!
