Did you know the world’s largest book is bigger than you? Or that the smallest playing cards can fit on the tip of your finger?

The following list is full of record-breaking objects that are either HUGE or tiny.

Let’s check out some of the most amazing size records ever!

Largest wooden spoon

Largest spoon with people sitting on it

In Ecuador, a group of students and chefs worked together to create a wooden spoon so big it was about as long as 2 school buses – 20.06-m-long (65-ft 9-in)! 🚌 🚌

It took them 7 weeks to finish this supersized utensil, and the result is truly awesome…

What would you eat with this spoon?

And now compare the previous spoon to this one. Which one do you prefer?

Well, they’re both record-breaking, but this one, carved in India by Dr. Manoj M., is only 1.4 millimetres long – so tiny that it’s smaller than a grain of rice!

We know what you’re thinking… No human can eat with this spoon.

But maybe a cute little ant? 🐜

Smallest humanoid robot

Check out the tiniest humanoid robot in the world that is only 57.676 millimetres tall – that’s about 2.27 inches, about the size of an egg! 🥚

It was made by Tatsuhiko Mitsuya from Nagoya, Japan, a university student who studies robotics in the Computer Science Department, where he builds and experiments with amazing little robots.

Isn’t this the coolest job ever?! 🤓

Largest mousetrap

A team led by Dietmar Weides in Germany created this GINORMOUS mousetrap that’s 6.02 metres long (19-ft 9-in)!

It is so big that it would need a piece of cheese as large as a washing machine to use it. 😂

Don’t worry though, no mouse this huge exists!

And now compare the previous mousetrap to this one. Which one would you rather have?

This one is only 5 mm by 2.5 mm, about the size of a single grain of rice! 🍚

It was made by Gurram Dayakar from India, who loved exploring tiny things and enjoyed making unusual gadgets, just like this tiny mousetrap.

WOW!

Largest book published

Do you like reading books?

Well, you’d surely have a hard time carrying this huge book around. It is titled I Am Texas, and it measures an incredible 2.1 metres tall and 3.3 metres wide (7 feet tall and 11 feet wide) and weighs 224.9 kg (496 pounds). 📕

And the coolest part? It was made by kids just like you!

It contains writing and artwork from 1,000 Texas students ranging from 3rd to 12th grades – and you can find it in smaller versions too.

What an awesome project!

Smallest playing cards

Last but not least, these tiny playing cards are about as big as the smallest mousetrap you saw earlier – and 250 times smaller than standard playing cards! 🃏

Rob Hallifax from UK challenged himself to create these as a New Year’s resolution, and he ended up breaking a world record.

Rob made 102 packs in total; he sold 100 for £19 ($24), he kept one for himself, and he recently visited the Guinness World Records London office to gift us the other!

Would you play with these cards?
