These kids are record-breaking stars, and you could be too!

The Spartan Race for Kids, held in Beijing and Shanghai, China, is back to challenge the Guinness World Records title for most children completing an obstacle course in a week!

The entire event was strictly supervised by Guinness World Records adjudicators and a team of witnesses – it was all super official…

After careful certification and review, a total of 12,912 young warriors completed the race – WOW.

These young Chinese warriors were not afraid to challenge themselves and test their limits, all in the hope of winning a world record title (and eternal glory, of course).

So what is the Spartan Race for Kids?

It’s an international children's obstacle course competition that combines challenge and fun!

It happens every year, and the best young warriors can even go on to represent China on the podium at the World Championships.

And the best part? A challenge station was specially set up at the venue, open to spectators under the age of 16.

Here, young warriors could challenge themselves to 4 world records:

  • Most burpees in 30 seconds
  • Most star jumps in 30 seconds
  • Fastest time to complete 50 metres with 5kg of weight
  • Fastest time to put on 5 T-shirts

Which one would you attempt?

The result?

4 kids set 3 records here, with one even becoming a "double champion":

• 10-year-old Xie Runjing achieved the most star jumps in 30 seconds in Beijing with 58 jumps, while 11-year-old Wang Yiying continued to improve her score to 62 jumps in Shanghai.

• 14-year-old Li Xiaorui completed the fastest time to complete 50 metres with a 5kg load challenge in Beijing with a time of 14.76 seconds, while 11-year-old Wang Yiying improved her time to 14.22 seconds in Shanghai.

• 11-year-old Hu Mai set a record of most burpees in 30 seconds, with 19.

Imagine having a day filled with sports and fun and coming home with a medal – pretty cool, right?
