Reuben Looks Twice, the teen with the world’s LONGEST HAIR, shares cool new pictures!
Check out these awesome new pictures that show the longest hair on a teenager (male) in all its glory!
Reuben Looks Twice Jr., a teen from USA, was first awarded the record for his 161 cm (5 ft 3.3 in) long hair in June 2024.
His hair is as long as your height, probably even longer!
Reuben, who is Native American, says he has grown his hair in order to honour his roots and his people.
He is even featured in our latest book, Guinness World Records 2026, which is out now!
The long-haired teen is a proud member of the Lakota and lives in Rapid City, South Dakota.
He told us: “Culturally, Lakota people have long hair. It’s part of our Nagi (spirit). It’s who I am.
“I feel proud to represent my family and the Lakota Nation.”
Good for you Reuben, and we’re sure your people are super proud of you.

It’s a time to learn and appreciate everything they bring to our world!

His dark hair is in a braid and falls all the way down to his shins at its longest point.

Here are some fun facts about Reuben and his record-breaking hair:
- His hair is so long it takes him 20 minutes to wash it and 1 hour to dry it.
- He didn’t really intend to grow it to a record-breaking length at first, but his mum and dad decided to let it grow out because he was afraid of hair clippers…
- The last time he had a haircut, he was a toddler!
Reuben said that he loves his unique hair, although…
“It inspires others to grow their hair. But it does get stuck in car doors and caught on shower knobs.”
