Who’s your favourite Pokémon? 🤔

You may have a few that you really like, but for 32-year-old Tsang Cheuk Tip (Hong Kong), there is only one right answer…

Because he has been obsessed with Pokémon’s Gengar for 22 YEARS, even turning his passion into a world record!

Tsang achieved the world’s largest collection of Gengar memorabilia, amassing 1,200 unique items.

Check it out. 👇

Tsang told us that he was about your age when his collecting hobby started:

“I was 8 when I first saw Gengar. Among a batch of Pokémon figures my mom bought, there was this translucent, deep purple one that just grabbed me.

“Later, playing Pokémon games, I found Gengar wasn’t just strong - it was versatile, with that sly, adorable grin.

“Right then, I knew this little guy was my destined buddy.”

So of course, from that moment, Tsang snapped up every Gengar item he could find, from plush toys, cards and accessories to clothing, tableware and stationery!

He needed to have everything Gengar-related, and he would spend every bit of his pocket money on his new obsession. 🤓

But don’t assume that he would just spend his money recklessly – he actually got pretty smart about it, scoring the best possible deals by getting his friends to buy from Japan, where prices were much lower.

Team work makes the dream work!

The toughest Gengar item to snag?

A MASSIVE plush with a tongue that… doubled as a floor mat!

What is your most prized possession in the world?

And again, Tsang was able to get this adorable and rare plush thanks to help from his friend.

He told us: “I wasn’t just stoked - I was grateful. Friends really went all out for my hobby.”

Remember: real friends support each other’s dreams and passions! 💪

According to Tsang, “Collecting toys isn’t just owning stuff. It’s about the time you spend with them. Treat them well, or they’ll get back at you - mold, tears, or getting lost.”

Thanks for the advice, Tsang – and congratulations on being Officially Amazing!
