Little Jude broke 2 WORLD RECORDS playing pool with his dad
Do you share any hobbies with your mum or dad?
Little Jude Owens from the UK got into playing snooker and pool when his dad Luke bought him a mini table to play on, and they’ve been having the best time playing together ever since!
In fact, Jude got so good at it, so fast, that he became the:
- Youngest person to make a pool bank shot at the age of 2 years and 302 days
- Youngest person to make a snooker double pot at the age of 2 years and 261 days
WOW!

Have you ever played pool?
Pool and snooker are games where you use a long stick to hit a white ball and knock other balls into holes on a table. Pool is smaller and easier to play, while snooker has more balls, a bigger table, and is trickier.
They’re both super fun to play, but also quite hard!
Jude’s dad said he knew he was going to be a great player from the second he started playing.
He told us: “[…] To have 2 world records, it’s probably a pinnacle moment – how do you even beat that?
“[…] Will he be a world champion? I mean, it would be a great story with all the evidence we’ve got.”
What sport would you like to become a world champion of one day?

Jude has already met some of his idols and professional pool players, and the coolest part?
They’ve all congratulated him and said they admired his skills!
What a dream…
No wonder he's so confident.
When asked by his dad who would win a snooker match out of the two of them, little Jude confidently exclaimed: “Me!”
Being confident in yourself is super important because it helps you try new things and not give up the moment something feels hard.

“He doesn’t beat me at snooker at the moment,” Jude’s dad said, “but I like to think he would in the next few years easily.”
And considering he broke 2 world records before turning 3, we think so too!
Congratulations, Jude, you are a legend.
