Melissa, the pet whisperer

Accomplished animal trainer Melissa Millet trained her dog Lollipop, and cat Sashimi (all from Canada), to work together and break the record for the fastest 10 metres on a scooter by a dog and a cat, achieving a speedy time of 13.55 seconds

In another nail-biter of a performance, Melissa and Lollipop broke the record for the greatest distance covered by a dog on a double tight rope in 3 minutes – 8.23 metres (27 ft.).

Melissa and her talented pets showed us their tricks and gave us tips on how to break records like them!

Do you have a pet? Do you teach them any tricks?

The flexible Mallakhamb boys

Swaransh More and Shriram Jadhav, 2 boys from India, set a world record with their fearlessness and jaw-dropping flexibility!

They achieved the fastest time to complete 5 synchronised sequences on a Mallakhamb pole by a team of two (1 minute and 47 seconds).

Mallakhamb is a traditional Indian sport requiring impressive gymnastic ability – have you ever tried it?

Anup Thakur, the boys’ trainer, said: “We basically focus on flexibility and strength. [The boys train] 6 days a week for 3-5 years. [It requires] coordination between our upper body, hands, body, legs, everything.”

Hey, we never said record breaking was easy… we just said it’s possible!

Viola, the bicycle gymnast

Viola Brand is an artistic cyclist from Germany, who set the record for the most 360-degree rotations standing on bicycle handlebars in one minute – 14.

The previous record of 12 had not been broken in over 10 years!

She has won national and European championships with her gymnastic abilities on a bicycle.

Guinness World Records’ Alan Pixsley met Viola, who outlined some of the fundamentals of artistic cycling, including how to do a track stand.

Sometimes, you need to combine 2 different skills in order to break a record – just like Viola, with cycling and gymnastics!

My Mini Bakes, the tiny food cook

This record-breaking chef, known on social media as ‘My Mini Bakes’, holds the Guinness World Records title for the fastest time to assemble 20 mini hamburgers, achieving a speedy time of 1 minute and 42 seconds!

Guinness World Records’ Emma Salt found out all of her secrets to success, and learned how to prepare, chop and assemble tiny, delicious food.
