Ahoy! We’re Ollie and Harry, 2 brothers with a common passion for incredible, record-breaking adventures! Do you think a little toy ship can survive for months in the open sea? We did it, and broke the world record for the most travelled toy ship ever. ⛵

Brothers with Adventure 1 boat

It all started when...

We were a little younger when we came up with the idea of creating a bucket list of things we wanted to achieve before becoming officially grown-ups!

Since then, we have been on a mission to complete 500 challenges before turning 18.

So far we’ve done 456, like:

  • panning for gold 🪙
  • hunting for fossils 🦖
  • and even starting our own country! 🤯

Right now, we’re working on driving 30 forms of transport – from bicycle to airplane, and everything in between!

Our journey of record breaking

In 2017, we launched Adventure 1 on to the high seas – our take on a “message in a bottle”. 😉

From Scotland, the boat made its way first to Sweden and – after hitching a lift from a passing sail ship – on to west Africa, where it then rode the Atlantic currents to the Caribbean…

After logging 6,072.5 km (3,773.3 mi), it became the most travelled toy ship!

We were super happy, but we didn’t want to stop there…

So in September 2020, Adventure 2 was officially launched from Guyana and it reached the Gulf of Mexico, after surviving not 1, but 2 hurricanes!

It then moved up the US east coast before vanishing in the Atlantic in November 2021, covering a distance of 15,439 km (9,593.3 mi).

That is roughly the distance between New York City, USA, and Sydney, Australia, when measured in a straight line! 🤯

We broke our own previous record, which was fantastic! But we’re still not done…

Our expedition to the Antarctic

Our latest adventure is with the Erebus and Terror boats!

It took 2 years to build them and we hope they’ll be circling Antarctica in the South Pole. 🥶

The journey could also take up to 2 years and cover about 22,000 km (13,670 mi)

When we launch a toy boat into the sea,  we rely completely on the direction of the current.

Because we know where most ocean currents are, we can choose where to put the boat, but we can never be sure of exactly what route the boats will end up taking!

We love that it’s a true adventure into the unknown. 🚢

Being record breakers

The first record was shocking, and the second one was very unexpected!

We feel like this third project will break the record again if the battery lasts.

Out of all the challenges on our bucket list, probably the hardest were sending LEGO® Minifigures into space and, of course, the boat challenges.

So, we’re super excited to have broken a world record with those! 😎

You've done something truly inspiring, your story was everywhere. It's such a grand idea!
