Kids in Mexico just helped set a world record by voting for their favourite shows and actors at this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Mexico!
This was the 14th edition of the awards, and it earned a Guinness World Records title for most public votes received for a kids' awards show since more than 523 million kids voted!
The record was achieved in Mexico City on 26 August with 523,116,312 votes. Can you believe so many people got involved? 😮
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Mexico is the largest awards event for children in Latin America. It has a total of 24 categories ranging from music, social media, to content creators and more.
To honour the award, the Official Adjudicator of Guinness World Records, Susana Reyes, presented the certificate to the hostess of this edition. Mexican actor, producer and content creator, Juanpa Zurita, and Argentine actress, MacaBeso, who were shocked by the news and congratulated the audience for being part of the important milestone in the history of Nickelodeon and the world.
The show is always lots of fun and includes music, prizes being handed out to winners - and lots of slime! 🤪
Talented artists and celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Germán Garmendia, Kenia Os, Picus and Los Rules were some of the winners, all thanks to the children who voted for their favourite stars.

This year, a new category called "Our World" was also added to recognize young activists who seek to change the world with their initiatives.
To close the night on a high note and leave Nickelodeon fans with something to remember, the hosts of the event, Juanpa Zurita, MacaBeso and the KCA Squad, were covered in the famous sticky green slime. 🤣
The joy and excitement of the audience made the event an unforgettable and fun moment that made history for Nickelodeon Mexico.
