From the farthest eyeball pop to the world’s tallest and shortest dogs meeting, these are some of the most amazing records of the year so far – check them out. 👇
Farthest eyeball pop
Meet Williams Martin Sanchez Lopez (Uruguay) and have a look at his record-breaking eyes!
He can relax the muscles around them and safely push out his eyeballs – this is called ‘protrusion’, and it helped him get the record title for farthest eyeball pop (male). 👀
And how far do his eyes pop, you ask?
A whopping 19 mm (0.74 in)! Grab a ruler to see how long that is. 📏
Williams first realized he had “special” eyeballs when he was 8-9 years old, while having fun with his pals at school.

Longest tongue female
And speaking of incredible body achievements, Chanel Tapper (USA) has the world’s longest tongue on a woman! 👅
At 9.75 cm (3.8 in) from the tip to her lips, her tongue often gets shocked reactions from people – sometimes they even SCREAM in horror when they see it!
How would you react if you saw Chanel’s snake-like tongue in real life?
And she can do many tricks with it too: from removing Jenga blocks and flipping Red Solo Cups, to touching her nose and even holding up a spoon…

Hairiest face on a person
This is Lalit Patidar (India), a teenager with the hairiest face on a person (male).
With 201.72 hairs per square centimetre, over 95% of his face is covered in hair. 🤯
He has a super rare condition called hypertrichosis, also known as werewolf syndrome, causing extra hair growth.
🔎Fun fact: Lalit is one of only around 50 documented cases reported worldwide since the Middle Ages, making him one in a BILLION!
He truly is a special guy.
And to those who tell him he should remove his facial hair, he says: “I like how I am and I don’t want to change my look.”
Oldest person to perform an abdominal plank (male)
Is your grandpa a fitness pro like Maynard? 👴
Maynard Williams (New Zealand) became the oldest person to perform an abdominal plank (male) at the age of 78 years and 135 days, proving that it’s truly NEVER too late to break a world record.
What is more, despite the record only requiring him to hold the position for 3 minutes, he kept it going for over half an hour!
How long can you hold the plank position? 😎
Maynard’s loved ones teasingly call him “insane” for doing it, to which he said: “I’m used to pushing myself hard both mentally and physically.
“Doing so helps to build mental toughness and we learn about our true capabilities, and those capabilities are far greater than what most of us believe.”
Most pull ups in 24 hours (male)
Planks are not your thing? How about pull ups?
Truett Hanes (USA) holds the record for most pull ups in 24 hours by completing an astounding 10,001! 💪
Here is what he told us about breaking the record: “What I learned about myself is: I won’t give up. I wasn’t blessed with unique ability or super strength and things have never really come easily to me, but I have been gifted the ability to not give up on my goals. Even if it takes years, I’ll see it through until it’s completed.
“The job isn’t finished when you’re tired, it’s finished when you’re done.”

Tallest domino structure
Lily Hevesh (USA), also known as Hevesh5, a YouTube star who’s an expert at stacking and toppling dominoes, brought together her builder friends and they set the goal of creating the world’s tallest domino structure!
It took them 5 days to complete it, and it was 10.128 m (33 ft 2.74 in) tall.
Imagine a domino building that’s the same height as a 3-storey building! 🤯
Fastest time to mentally add 100 four-digit numbers
Aaryan Shukla (India), a 14-year-old super-smart boy nicknamed as ‘Human Calculator Kid’ can do mental maths quicker than someone could type it into a calculator.
After lots of practice, competitions, and sharpening his skills, he was ready to face some of the hardest mental maths challenges in the WORLD! 🤓
In just one day, he achieved an impressive total of 6 records, such as the fastest time to mentally add 100 four-digit numbers (30.9 sec) and the fastest time to mentally multiply two eight-digit numbers (set of ten) (2 min 35.41 sec).
Aaryan says that “daily practice is one of the important aspects to prepare for competitions”, so he practises for about 5-6 hours every day.
And he’s not wrong: practice makes perfect – or at least, it makes progress! 👏
Tallest and shortest dogs meet
The most iconic doggie duo – tallest dog, Reginald, and smallest dog, Pearl – met earlier this year and became besties! 🐶
Reginald, or Reggie, who is the world’s tallest dog living (male) stands at a shocking 3 ft 3 in (1.007 m) from the floor to the withers, while his new pal, Pearl, who is the world’s shortest dog living is just 3.59 in (9.14 cm) tall.
Their height difference is huge – 3 feet (91.56 cm), about the same height as a guitar. 🎸
But that didn’t stop them from being friends!
Our differences make us unique, and that’s what helps us learn from each other and become even better friends.
Tallest living water buffalo
Reggie is not the only record-breaking giant – say hello to King Kong, the world’s tallest living water buffalo!
He lives at Ninlanee Farm in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, and he measures 185 cm (6 ft 0.8 in) from the hoof to the withers. 🐃
But despite being this huge, King Kong is just a big softy who loves splashing around in the pond, munching on bananas and playing with his farm family.
Deepest underwater model photoshoot
Are you an ocean lover?
Steven Haining’s (Canada) underwater images are beautiful AND record-breaking – with a model and his team, he broke the record for the deepest underwater model photoshoot, at 163.38 ft (49.80 m).
Steven told us:
“For me, for Ciara, and for Wayne and everybody who has ever been on these adventures with us, it was all about pushing the limits.
“And I know my friends – there’s always another adventure coming up for us.”
