YouTubers BomBom set two records in Japan for Guinness World Records Day 2018

Japanese YouTubers BomBom TV know their slime - the fun-loving vloggers have featured it in their videos several times before.

One of their members, Yocchi, sees himself a bit of an expert “slimer” and was very happy to attempt to break a new record for Longest Distance to stretch homemade slime in 30 seconds, which he took on as a solo challenge.

Yocchi had to beat the previous record of 2.23m (7ft 4in).

Although he faced a bit of a battle at the beginning, he got his homemade slime under control and eventually managed to stretch it to 3.87m (12ft 8.36in) making him a new Guinness World Records title holder.

Yocchi was confident he would take on all slime challengers. "If someone updates the record, I will take it back immediately!”

The second challenge was a team effort, with six members of the BomBom team attempt to break the record for Longest distance to stretch home-made slime in 30 seconds (team)

However, their third attempt went smoothly, and they managed to stretch the 2kg (4.4lbs) of slime  to an impressive 13.78 m (45 ft 2.51 in)!

Although they were delighted with the results, Yocchi is convinced there will be many more wanting to chase their title. So this almost certainly won’t be the last the Guinness World Records team in Tokyo challenges the excited slime stretchers of the BomBom team…
