It takes practise and precision to be a Guinness World Records adjudicator.
You must be able to handle all the tools required to judge world class record attempts… the measuring tape, clicker and of course, the stopwatch.
As with everything, practise makes perfect! So, we’ve put together two record attempt videos for you to sharpen your adjudication skills by using the below guidelines.
First up, the record attempt for most blindfolded flips of a plastic bottle in one minute.
Read through the guidelines carefully and put your counting skills to the test. To be as accurate as possible we recommend using a pen and paper to tally up your score, good luck!
Most blindfolded flips of a plastic bottle in one minute
1. The blindfold can never be removed.
2. The individual must only use one hand and one bottle.
3. At the sound of the start signal, the individual must flip the bottle 360 degrees and land upright.
4. If the bottle is dropped or does not land upright, then the flip doesn’t count.
5. Only flips of the bottle which are completed in the one minute will count towards the final total.
How did you do, are you ready for the next one?
For this one you’ll need a stopwatch, you’ll be timing the attempt for fastest time to eat a hot dog with no hands, make sure you pay close attention to the video after reading the guidelines! Good luck.
Fastest time to eat a hot dog with no hands
1. The sausage must fill the bun fully.
2. The hot dog should be on a table in front of the individual.
3. The individual can start eating the hot dog using their mouth only.
4. The timing ends when the individual has completely finished (including crumbs) their hot dog and has shown their mouth is empty.
