Freddie and Frankie, from the UK, are a pair ofâŻvery talentedâŻrats who have made it into the new Guinness World Records book!Â
Their owner Luke who calls them "the boys", began teaching them tricks when they were three months old and as soon as they had settled into their home.âŻÂ
Frankie broke the record for theâŻmost alternating paw tricks by a rat in 30 secondsâŻwith a massive 28 tricks - almost one a second.
FreddieâŻalso has a record forâŻmost jumps through a hoop by a rat in 30 seconds, jumping an amazing 8 times.
Luke and Jess are no strangers to record breaking themselves, and currently hold the record for the most party poppers popped in 30 seconds (team of two) which they set in August 2018 with a total of 51.Â
âItâs a superb feeling to share a world record with 'the boys' - both are a big part of our livesâ said Luke. Â
However, Luke was surprised to find out that "the boys" had beaten him to the pages of the record books!
"I have always dreamt of being in the book â it used to be a staple present in Santaâs sack. It is hilarious that âthe boysâ beat me to it!" - owner Luke RobertsÂ
According to Luke though, Freddie and Frankie,  now a year and a half old, are becoming less interested as they get older.
In fact, they will soon be joined by a new rat called Ronnie, who Luke hopes to teach a few tricks, so that all three rats canâŻtake partâŻin the fun.âŻWatch this space!Â
Luke hopes thatâŻnow Freddie and FrankieâsâŻrecords have a special place in the new book, it willâŻshow everyone how rats are intelligent, fun and make brilliant pets.âŻÂ
