CBBC’s “Best in the World” is a show that shares the attempts of some of the greatest Guinness World Records title holders of all time.

But that’s not what the show is all about; it’s also about creating fun games around the records and inviting you and your friends to play along!

Our favourite moment in every episode?

The “DO try this at home”, of course.

That’s when the show shares some records you can attempt yourself, with objects you can find at home – and most importantly, they are completely safe. 🥳

Here are our favourites so far 👇

1. Fastest time to throw 10 soft toys into a target

The beauty of this record attempt lies in its simplicity.

Just to be clear, however, simple does not mean easy!

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 10 soft toys 🧸
  • A bucket 🪣
  • A stopwatch ⏱️

Do you have these 3 items? Good.

Now all you have to do is try to break James Rawlings’ (UK) record of 7.92 seconds! 😎

2. Fastest time to flip 3 water bottles

For this record attempt, you will need…

  • A water bottle
  • A second water bottle
  • You guessed it – another water bottle! 🤣
  • A stopwatch⏱️

Pro tip: make sure to fill up all the bottles with the same amount of water, then practise a few times before you actually start timing your attempts.

Ready? Now try and break James Rawlings’ record of 2.85 seconds! 🤩

3. Most t-shirts to put on in 30 seconds

This one is particularly fun to try with two people at once, so challenge your friend, brother or sister!

Let’s see who can dress the fastest 💪

Here is all you need for this record:

  • Lots of t-shirts – preferably loose-fitting ones, so they’re easier to put on!
  • A stopwatch⏱️

Notice how David Rush (USA), current record holder, laid out all the t-shirts in a very strategic, easy-to-wear way?

Take notes, folks 😎

David’s score that you need to beat is an impressive 48 t-shirts!
