Can you solve a rotating puzzle cube? Could you solve three?

Well, could you solve them all AT THE SAME time while JUGGLING?!

That's what 19-year-old Angel Alvarado from Colombia can do.

In fact, he's so speedy at the skill that he has broken the record for the fastest time to solve three rotating puzzle cubes whilst juggling with an unbelievable time of 4 min 31.01 sec. 😲⏱

Angel was so good, he actually already held this record with a time of 4 min 52.43 sec, which he achieved in May 2021. 😎

Like many of us, Angle had lots of spare time at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, so spent those two years training for this very tricky record.

It took him five months to figure out how to solve just one cube while juggling - now that's dedication! 😅

It then took him four more months to be able to solve three - still while juggling, of course! 🤹

Keeping track of the cubes while they're flying through the air is no easy feat.

His training involved spending one hour just solving one cube and then longer sessions using three cubes. We know, it sounds tiring just reading about it. 😴💤

But for Angel, all the hard work was worth it. He wanted to prove that with hard work, you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

"It would mean a lot to me since it would be the first both juggling and speedcubing world record of Colombia, and would be cool to be the first person who achieved that." - Angel Alvarado before achieving his Guinness World Records title

The history of the record

The record for the fastest time to solve three rotating puzzle cubes whilst juggling was first set on 23 December 2017 by Que Jianyu (China) when he was just 13 years old! 😲👏

He managed a time of  5 minutes and 6.61 seconds. Afterwards, clips of his awesome record attempt went viral online. 📲

Then, on 17 November 2018, Que Jianyu broke his record again, this time in Italy.

Four years later, Angel has cut down Que Jianyu’s original record time by over 30 seconds

Who knows who will break this impressive record next - perhaps it could be you!
