Amatullah Hamid may be small, but she has a major talent!

At the age of 4 years and 59 days, little Amatullah from Pakistan became the world’s youngest broadcast radio presenter.

She hosts a weekly show that’s named after her: The Amatullah show. 🎙️

Her first time presenting on air was on 14 April 2022; one year later, we asked her to tell us all about her experience so far.

The first thing we wanted to know, naturally, was… how did it all start?

“I used to go with Hassan Hamid on his show since I was 2 years old, and one day he asked me to be the guest of his show. That was my first time when I was on air!”

Hassan Hamid is the world’s youngest broadcast radio presenter (male) who started his career at the impressive age of 4 years and 70 days, so just a few days older than Amatullah when she first started working.

We love seeing fellow record breakers inspiring each other! 😍

So, what is Amatullah’s show about?

“[I talk about] science, social education, telling stories and poems. Sometimes, I would invite guests to my show, entertain calls from the audience and play tracks.”

Amatullah’s job is fun and creative, but it certainly is no piece of cake.

She needs to be dealing with complicated computer software, managing the tracks and console and talking to her audience, all at the same time! 🤯

Her favourite part of the job is definitely connecting with her audience.

“Listening to people's stories and experiences really made my day, and I hope it made theirs too!”

What made her experience even better was getting a well-deserved treat after every show. It’s the little things that make life exciting, right?🍫 🍦

When she is not hosting her show, Amatullah likes to:

  • Do Karate 🥋
  • Drawing and sketching 🖌️
  • Recording videos for her YouTube channel 📹
  • Roller skating 🛼

Do you share any of her hobbies, or would you like to try one out?

Little Amatullah is very proud to be a Guinness World Records title holder.

“It's an honour for me and my family […] and I will always remember this moment for the rest of my life! […] This record is the big stepping point and I hope it brings more for me.”

Lastly, Amatullah’s advice to any kid with big dreams is…

“ […] Do good, take care of our surroundings, and make the world a beautiful place with love, peace and harmony. All the kids need to learn and grow together for a better future!” 🌈

Well done on your incredible achievement, Amatullah!
