Farmer Peter Lenu, from Kerala, India, loves his tiny pygmy goats. 🐐
They always run up to him, rub against his legs, and even trip him over just to get his attention!
But one day, when a visitor stopped by and pointed out how incredibly small they were, Peter realized he might have a record-breaking goat right on his farm...
More specifically, Karumbi, a tiny black pygmy goat, stands only 1 foot 3 inches (40.50 cm) tall, even though she is already 4 years old!
This little goat is now officially the shortest living goat in the world.
Look how cute she is:
Born in 2021, Karumbi is a Canadian Pygmy goat.
This breed is known for having short, stocky bodies and little legs that don’t grow very tall because of dwarfism.
But Karumbi is even smaller than most pygmy goats – she’s truly teeny-tiny! 🥹
This is her sitting next to a bucket:
Karumbi is very social and loves to play with the taller animals.
She lives with other goats as well as cows, rabbits, hens, and ducks – what a fun gang. 🐄 🐇 🐔 🦆
She has a 4-month-old kid and…
She’s pregnant with her second! 🤰
Karumbi is very loved around the farm and her owner, Peter, adores her.
In the future, he promises to keep taking good care of her, and can’t wait to see the size of her tiny new baby.
Congrats, Karumbi – you might be small, but you achieved something huge! 🥳
