Meet Cillian O’Connor, a super-talented, record-breaking magician! 🪄
He once competed on the TV show Britain’s Got Talent, where he was placed 3rd overall during the final...
Oh, and he’s just 15 years old. 😮
Ireland’s real-life Harry Potter can rack up magic tricks so fast and so smoothly, that he broke a world record with his talent.
And what record is that, you ask?
The most magic tricks performed in one minute (under 16) – meaning by a person who’s under 16 years old.
Cillian did a total of 28 magic tricks in just 60 seconds, and his performance was so spectacular that it looked like real magic!
…Or maybe it was. 🤫
Cillian’s story is featured in the latest edition of our book Guinness World Records 2025.
In fact, Cillian is one of this year’s Young Achievers, kids under the age of 16 who broke amazing records with their talents and constant dedication. 🤩
Seeing his amazing talent, we decided to challenge Cillian to attempt a few more records from our vast selection of under-16 record titles that are up for grabs.

The teen magician attempted 3 under-16 records in total:
- Most cans stacked into a pyramid in 30 seconds
- Most socks put on one foot in 30 seconds
- Most dominoes set up and toppled by a team of two in 30 seconds
As you can see, each one is completely different from what Cillian usually does – magic tricks – so they were a new and exciting challenge for him!
He may have been unsuccessful in his attempts of breaking the first 2 records, but he sure learned something from this experience…
And the most important thing – he had fun trying!
His main advice to you after attempting the can stacking challenge?
“Always read the guidelines before you attempt the record.”
Another thing that was made clear from his video…
In order to break a world record, practice is key! 🔑
“I should probably practise a little bit more,” Cillian told us after his attempt at putting as many socks as possible on his foot in half a minute.
So after a few unsuccessful attempts, he decided to ask for his sister’s help.
After all, teamwork makes the dream work! ✨
