What’s your favourite animal?

Have a look of some amazing world records set by our friends in the animal kingdom, and who knows…

By the end, you might just discover a new favourite!

Humphrey, the smallest bull

Try to picture a bull – what comes to mind? A large, indestructible creature? Well, not all bulls look like that…

On 27 April 2018, Heikens Ark Jupiter (or "Humphrey" to his friends), the shortest bull ever, measured at a tiny 67.6 cm (26.6 in)!

Isn’t he adorable?

Humphrey spends his days like any other farm animal on Lime Creek Farm in Iowa, USA, eating grass and exploring the field, but what makes him unique amongst the rest is that he is now a Guinness World Records title holder.

Mr. Pugsley Addams, the longest-tailed cat

This next animal clawed his way into the record books, with a purr-fectly long tail

Mr. Pugsley Addams, a Maine Coon from USA, has the longest tail on a domestic cat ever with a length of 46.99 cm (18.5 in).

WOW!

He lives with his 2 sisters and according to his owner Amanda Cameron: “he is definitely the biggest troublemaker of the house and VERY creative when it comes to new ways he can be mischievous.”

King Kong and Radha, the tallest and shortest water buffalo

Now let’s look at 2 fascinating animals that are the same species but come in VERY different shapes and sizes…

King Kong from Thailand is the tallest living water buffalo, measuring 186 cm (6 ft 0.8 in) – around 50 cm taller than the average – while Radha from India is the shortest living water buffalo and over 1 metre shorter than King Kong, at 83.8 cm (2 ft 8 in).

Can you imagine those two hanging out?!

Pumuckel, the shortest horse

Last but not least, measuring at 52.6 cm (21.1 in), Pumuckel is the world’s shortest living horse, but he has the confidence of an animal 10 times his size!

Look at him and his gorgeous hair – can you blame him?
