If you’re a Spider-Man fan, you’ve probably been to the movie theatre recently to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Some of you superfans out there might have even watched it more than once! 🤩

But Ramiro Alanis, from Florida, USA, took it to the next level.

Ramiro watched Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times in 89 days, breaking the record for the most cinema productions attended of the same film.

That’s a total viewing time of 720 hours! 😵

Ramiro had already achieved this record title back in 2019, when he watched Avengers: Endgame a whopping 191 times. However, his record was broken in 2021 by Arnaud Klein, who watched Kaamelott: First Instalment 204 times.

When Ramiro heard the news that his record had been broken, he decided to take it back as soon as possible. But which movie could he watch over and over again without getting bored? 🤔

As a huge Marvel fan, there was only one logical choice for Ramiro - Spider-Man: No Way Home😍

But he wasn’t going to just do 205 viewings to break the record… this time he wanted to set the record so high that nobody would ever try to break it again. 😎

This time, Ramiro was Not Going Home.

"If anyone tries to break my record again, I want them to think twice before attempting it." – Ramiro Alanis

Ramiro spent Christmas Day watching Spider-Man: No Way Home

Ramiro watched back-to-back screenings of Spider-Man: No Way Home for three months straight. For the first few weeks, he watched five screenings every day.

That’s a total viewing time of 12 hours 20 minutes per day😲

In total, Ramiro spent around $3,400 (£2,605) on movie tickets for this record attempt. 💰

The late-night viewings were the hardest part of this challenge for Ramiro, who experienced headaches sometimes after already watching the movie four times during the day. 😵

If he accidentally fell asleep during the movie, it would not count towards his record total. Ramiro was also not allowed to use his phone or take bathroom breaks – he had to be looking at the screen at all times!

Back in 2019 when Ramiro first achieved this record, 11 of his viewings were disqualified due to bathroom breaks being taken. 🚽

Another big challenge he faced was not being able to spend much time with his family or friends. Ramiro had to mostly give up his social life to achieve this record.

The final viewing

After watching Spider-Man: No Way Home so many times, Ramiro can now "pretty much recite the dialogue along with the movie," and he was able to do this out loud during his final viewing as the cinema was empty.

Ramiro was also lucky enough to meet Tom Holland, although you might be surprised to find out who his favourite Spider-Man actor is…

“I love the three of them, but I have to choose Andrew Garfield and his redemption arc.” – Ramiro Alanis

Ramiro says he “feels AMAZING” after winning back his record and he hopes to hold on to it for a long time. 😀
