Many people care about nature and endangered animals, but only a few work extra hard to help them…

Aneeshwar Kunchala, a young nature hero from the UK, has been on a mission to protect the planet since he was little! 🌍

Aneeshwar shows how much he cares by doing amazing things, like hosting a nature documentary and writing to inspire others to help the Earth.

And guess what?

He’s doing all this at just 8 years old! 🤯

Aneeshwar became the world’s youngest documentary presenter (male) at the age of 7 years 288 days and, later on, the youngest newspaper columnist (male) at the age of 8 years 76 days.

Aneeshwar became confident in front of the camera by making cool videos with his dad, where he talked about animals like bees and swans that he loves so much. 🐝🦢

People loved his videos, and soon amazing opportunities came his way!

One of the best moments was meeting his "real hero", Steve Backshall, who’s also an environmental champion. 🌟

Who is your hero? What would you tell them if you met them in real life?

Aneeshwar’s first big project was presenting an amazing nature documentary called COP27 - Six Ways To Save Our Planet.

The show features 6 kids from various places in the world, sharing smart ideas to help solve big problems facing our planet. 😎

Now, Aneeshwar writes a special column for First News, where he talks about endangered animals from all around the world. 🐾

In his column, he shares fun facts about animals, their special skills, where we can find them in nature and, especially, how we can all help protect them.

He even draws his own cool drawings! 🎨

Aneeshwar has written over 60 articles so far. 😮

His writing inspires kids aged 7-14 to learn about the important role animals play in keeping nature healthy and balanced.

Would you like to read his stories? You can find them here.

In his own words, he says: “What I’m trying to do with this column is to inspire young children around the world to love amazing animals.”

What a cool job!

He carefully chooses each creature he writes about and uses his amazing art skills to show off their cool features and behaviours.

Aneeshwar’s colourful paintings, made with acrylics or watercolours on canvas or paper, also show the challenges these animals face in our world today. 😰

In fact, Aneeshwar’s artwork has earned admiration internationally…

His paintings have been displayed at The Kennedy Centre in the USA and the Warrington Museum in the UK. Wow! 🤯

Oh, also, you might have seen him on Britain's Got Talent or America’s Got Talent – All Stars too!

It seems like Aneeshwar is everywhere these days, and he deserves all the recognition he’s getting. ❤️

He has also won several big awards, like the 2021 Young Scientific Explorer of the Year and the 2022 Global Child Prodigy Award.

His efforts have caught the attention of Sir David Attenborough, the famous environmentalist, who sent Aneeshwar a letter encouraging him to “try his best” and reassuring him that he will “perceive the path that he knows he needs to follow”.🏆

For anyone who wants to follow in his footsteps and make a difference, here’s some advice from Aneeshwar himself:

“All we have to do is keep doing our small part to help protect wildlife. You don’t have to do big things. Just do your tiny little bit, and it can make a huge difference.” 💚

That’s so true!

What will you do to help protect the planet today?
