On the other hand, Nick Stoeberl from Salinas, California, USA has an extremely unique, record-breaking characteristic – but you probably wouldn’t know until you saw him licking a delicious ice cream. 🍦

Nick has the world's longest tongue (male), measuring 10.1 cm (3.97 in).

That’s as long as:

• Two baseballs ⚾⚾
• A toilet paper roll 🧻
• 5 doughnuts stacked one on top of the other🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩

Life with a record-breaking tongue

Nick is an artist and comedian, with a fun, kind but also playful personality; "I’ve always sort of known I’ve had a long tongue, just like you would know if your hand was bigger," he said in his interview.

Nick also shared that long tongues run in the family, as his younger brother Chad also has a very long tongue!

So, what is Nick’s everyday life like?

"Every time I’m introduced to someone new by a friend, they’re like 'hey this is Nick Stoeberl, he has the longest tongue in the world, he’s in Guinness World Records'. So upon meeting someone, immediately I just have to stick my tongue out at them."

What can we say, sometimes being a record breaker is hard work 😝

However, as Nick confirmed, "There’s not too many downsides to having a really long tongue!"

“…you could call it art, I guess. I wrap my tongue in cling wrap, dip that in acrylic [paint] and apply that to a canvas."

When we asked him how he felt about holding the official Guinness World Records title, Nick admitted he was "totally stoked" and that it was "pretty insane".

This title has not only earned him worldwide recognition, but also some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities!
